Feeling hot hot hot!
Get out your maracas and hula skirt and have a listen to this song whilst you continue to learn!
Humans also have a major impact on climate change.
As a child I loved making snowmen. Yet this could become a thing of the past as some of the things we do as humans play a huge role in climate change. What if your children or your children's children never get to play in the snow? What if they never get to make a snow man and give him a carrot for a nose? What happens if everybody in the UK is singing 'Hot, hot hot' all day long. Pretty upsetting really...it's almost as upsetting as when I found out that the tooth fairy didn't exist. Oh well, at least Santa really exists.
We are continuously being told that global warming is happening (The warming of the earth). We are also being continuously being told that it's our fault. This is true to some extent. Humans are having a massive impact on changing global temperatures. Yet, how are we doing this? Let's take a look.
N.B. When we are referring to human impacts on the weather it is called global warming. When we are talking about natural causes, we call it climate change. This is really important to remember and not get confused about!

Firstly, take a look at the pie chart. It is showing the typical carbon footprint of someone living in an MEDC. These are all the factors which we humans do everyday which increase global warming
1)The biggest way we increase our carbon footprint is in the home by using gas, oil and coal. How is this linked to global warming?
2)How do you think we could reduce our carbon footprint?
3)Which factor do you think contributes most to global warming? Why?
4)How do you think this pie chart would look if it was looking at an LEDC?
Now take a look at the graph at the bottom of the page...
1) What does this graph show?
2) Compare Qatar and Kenya
3) Explain why certain countries differ with their readings. Give examples and justify your reasons.
